Given 5 to 16 players, goodMatches pairs them up into a sequence of balanced combinations, aka goodMatches, based on individual player points. These points are maintained in a result-driven manner: they are updated as results accumulate. While initial levels may (and may not) be given by the organiser, the points will eventually balance out to reflect the real skills of the players. The data can be shared across multiple organisers. goodMatches caters for not just doubles but singles as well as doubles/singles mix, along with the situation where a few people have to sit out at a time, making sure players take turns fairly, as well as the situation where people turn up or leave during the session, while ensuring variety of matchups, avoiding repetitions of the same pairs.
